Capacity building assistance for health workers under Japan’s emergency grant aid through UNICEF for promoting COVID-19 vaccination

　On 25 May, the official opening was held on the capacity building field trainings for the Ministry of Health and Wellness staff in quality improvement for primary health care under emergency grant aid by the Japanese Government in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for promoting COVID-19 vaccination.  Ambassador of Japan Iryu Kazuhiro attended the opening at the Southern Regional Hospital in Dangriga, delivering remarks.  UNICEF Representative Mrs. Alison Parker, Health Ministry Director Dr. Javier Zuniga  Mayor His Worship Robert Mariano and others expressed their sincere appreciation to the financial assistance by Japan for this project. Furthermore, cold chain equipment  for vaccination will also be delivered in the near future under this project.
