Attendance at the Garifuna Art Exhibition

 On the evening of Thursday November 17th, the Belmopan City Council in collaboration with the National Institute of Culture & History (NICH) held the official ceremony for the Garifuna Art Exhibition at the Belmopan Civic Center, which was attended by Ambassador IRYU and others along with members of the Diplomatic Mission. This event was held to celebrate the settlement of the Garinagu in Belize in the 18th century. During the ceremony, Belmopan Mayor Sheran Palacio and others noted the importance of the diverse cultures in Belize. Cultural songs and dances were also performed to commemorate this event.
