Attendance at the ceremony for the authority transfer of the Solar Park “Clean Energy by Solar Electricity Generation System Project”

On February 6th, Ambassador IRYU along with Mr. Sasaki, Director of JICA Belize Office, attended the authority transfer ceremony of the Solar Park “Clean Energy by Solar Electricity Generation System Project” from the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance (MPUELE) to the University of Belize (UB); which is being implemented under Japan's environmental program grant assistance.
The ceremony was held at the Belmopan Campus and was attended by Mr. Jose Urbina, CEO in the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance (MPUELE), Dr. Vincent Palacio, President of UB, Dr. Sherlene Enrique-Savery, Vice President of UB, and other officials.
They expressed their gratitude for Japan's cooperation through JICA and stated that the University would continue to use the photovoltaic power generation equipment effectively.
