Sayab Farm agricultural group and Ambassador Shirakata
On April 27th, Ambassador Shirakata visited the Sayab Farm agricultural group in San Antonio Village, Cayo. The group, which comprises of Yucatec-Maya people, cultivates vegetables and fruits and processes their products for biodiversity conservation of Mayan forests with the support of JICA.
Ambassador Shirakata also met with the women's group, including their representative Erica Mai, to learn about their activities in developing and marketing processed organic vegetables.
