UNICEF "2023 World Children's Report" launch ceremony

On June 19th, the launch of the "STATE OF THE WORLD’S CHILDREN 2023 REPORT" was held at the August Pine Ridge Health Centre in Orange Walk. Ambassador Shirakata attended the event and in his remarks, he stated that the Government of Japan, in collaboration with UNICEF, have been strengthening the capacity of health workers and providing cold chain equipment through the Emergency Grant Assistance to support the strengthening of Belize's healthcare system.
Minister of Health and Wellness, Hon. Kevin Bernard and UNICEF Representative to Belize, Ms. Alison Parker, also expressed their deep appreciation for the grant assistance provided by the Japanese Government.
