Visiting the medical facilities in Stann Creek District

　On September 12th, Ambassador Nobuyuki Shirakata, UNICEF Representative in Belize Ms. Alison Parker, Director of Public Health Dr. Melissa Diaz-Musa, along with other officials from the Embassy of Japan, UNICEF and the Ministry of Health & Wellness met in Dangriga to discuss primary factors affecting healthcare, as well as the progress made thus far through these partnerships. This meeting was followed by site visits to the Dangriga Polyclinic, Southern Regional Hospital and the Independence Polyclinic, to which the Japanese Government and the Embassy have provided cold chain equipment and ambulances in the past.
