On July 17th, Ms. Shizuyo Takaoka and Ms. Yuki Yokoyama, JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), who are returning to Japan after completing their two-year term of service, came to the Embassy to bid farewell to Ambassador Shirakata.
Ms. Takaoka worked as an instructor at the New Beginnings Youth Development Center in Rockville, Belize District and Ms. Yokoyama supported environmental education activities at the San Ignacio/Santa Elena Town Hall and several schools within the twin towns.
