Ambbosador's farewell reception

On Friday September 12, the Embassy of Japan hosted a farewell reception in honor of outgoing Ambassador Nobuyuki Shirakata, marking the conclusion of distinguished tenure in Belize. In his remarks, Ambassador expressed profound gratitude for the warmth and hospitality extended to him and reflected on Belize’s rich cultural diversity, noting that he had been privileged to experience first-hand “Mother Nature’s Best-Kept Secret.” He further conveyed that the warm friendships and cherished memories during his posting had greatly enriched his diplomatic career.
The reception was attended by esteemed guests and close associates including CEO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, H.E. Amalia Mai, members of the Diplomatic Corps, JICA representatives and members of the Japanese Community.
